Information for Newly Admitted Freshmen
Steps to the Beach!
After students receive their official offer of admission, there still are important steps to be taken to prepare to enroll at CSU Long Beach!
- Accepting your Admission Offer and submitting the Enrollment Deposit – Remember your response is due no later than May 1 for Fall 2013!
- Complete English and Math Placement tests if not exempt – Testing must be completed no later than May 5.
- Participate in the Early Start Program if required. Most students needing developmental (remedial) coursework in English and math must participate during the summer.
- Apply for Housing – Be sure to review the Freshmen Residential Requirement if you will not be living with your parents during your freshmen year.
- Review campus cost and Financial Aid options
- Attend Orientation – Registration for Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) begins May 15.
- Satisfy the Terms of your freshman admission offer and submit final transcripts – Final transcripts are due by July 15!
