Fall 2013 Undergraduate Admission Policy Change Notice

Beginning with the Fall 2013 admission cycle, all CSULB undergraduate majors become "impacted." As a result, all majors will have major specific admission and declaration requirements.

Impacted Majors

Lower Division Supplemental Requirements

Be Aware: CSULB admission and declaration of major policy has changed effective Fall 2013. The previous guidelines are listed below. Continuing students changing their major prior to July 2013 may be allowed to follow these guidelines in lieu of the new standards.

All impacted Majors: To be considered for admission to impacted majors under the lower division criteria, students must successfully complete all of the specific criteria outlined below before they have earned 60 baccalaureate level units. Baccalaureate level units do not include required remedial work in English or math but do include any transfer or AP credit granted. As CSULB is closed to lower-division transfer students, the criteria below currently only apply to native students. These criteria are effective for admission to the major beginning Fall 2010 and may be revised annually. Native and transfer students who have completed 60 units including work-in-progress must be considered for admission using the upper division admission guidelines Impacted Majors: Upper Division Supplemental Requirements.
