Welcome to Long Beach Endocrinology:

Long Beach’s Endocrine Laboratory is a research group in the Biological Sciences Department at California State University at Long Beach.

Our research interests lie in the field of comparative endocrinology, utilizing physiological to cellular to molecular biology approaches. We are particularly interested in the effects of environmental contaminants on endocrine signaling (“environmental endocrine disruption”) in marine fishes, impacts of stress on body growth and metabolism, and the evolution of insulin, insulin-like growth factors (IGFs), and interacting protein partners called IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs). Most of our research concerns marine fish species of southern California.

Please feel free to cruise through our website and as we say here at the Long Beach campus: . . . Go Beach!
