Victor Robles was born in Puerto Rico where he began dancing at the age of three to entertain his parents' guests. 21 years later he decided to get serious about dance and study at the California State University in Long Beach. He now holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from CSU Long Beach, and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Florida State University. While a student at Long Beach State Victor had the privilege to study and work with Gloria Newman and The Gloria Newman Dance Theater. While performing and touring with The Gloria Newman Dance Theater, Mr. Robles was offered a scholarship to Florida State University. This allowed him the opportunity to teach and choreograph, his two major passions. He is currently teaching beginning intermediate and advanced jazz at Long Beach State. Performance and choreography credits include two seasons with the Long Beach Ballet, Tallahassee Ballet and Dance Repertory Theater. Various dance concerts on the Long Beach State Campus.

"Victor Robles...displayed a stunning exhibition of mastery, when (he) performed 'Double Solitaire,' choreographed by Gloria Newman."
Barbara Arnello, Reporter, Feb. 19,1996

"(Victor Robles performed) a solo deconstruction and reconceiving the Vogue to give it maximum muscularity."
Lewis Segal, Los Angeles Times, May 1, 1990

"The Gloria Newman Dance Theater...clearly aims for the polish of professional Modern Dance."
Lewis Segal, Los Angeles Times, May 1 1990
