The Department of Chicano and Latino Studies Second Annual Banquet

Honoring our 2006 Graduates and their Familias

 

Thanks to the generosity of Latino businessman Mr. Juan Cerda, the Chicano and Latino Studies Association and Yadira Tovar 112 participants honored our 2006 graduates with a banquet, music and a short program. Students also received their graduation sashes.

Carlos Camacho (CHLS Grad 2003) and Kelly Daniels (CHLS Grad 2006). Mr Camacho shared his support as a CHLS alumni. Mr. Camacho is presently Chief of Staff of the Orange County Central Labor Council, which is made up of most of Orange County, California's labor organizations. He was very active in supporting immigrant rights in Santa Ana.
