"trumpet" shaped mouth is capable of great expansion which gives it the capability of ingesting 3 to 4 inch wide fish;
when the jaw opens it creates a vacuum to suck the prey in; it is a voracious predator lurking just above larger fishes
as they move; drift vertically parallel to sea rods for camouflage
