Size:  1 to 3.5 ft.
ID:  dorsal, anal, and tail fins are dark with white edges

Habitat:  attach by a disc-shaped sucker on top of head to sharks, rays, large fish, turtles
Typical food:   remnants of host's meals, plankton; host's ectoparasites
Other information:  unafraid; the juvenile has a white body with black borders on dorsal
and anal fins and may have a blackish mask across eyes
