Faculty Showcase:
AIM Project (Activity, Instruction and Management)

A previous ACS multimedia learning project is currently being web-enabled. The AIM Project started as CD-ROM based multimedia program initiated by Dr. Clayre Petray and the pedagogy faculty of the Kinesiology and Physical Education (KPE) department. These faculty provide the pedagogic content, while the programming, database and media elements are being provided by ACS staff members David Bradley, Nancy Rayner and Robert Rhyu.

The AIM Project will incorporate a WebObjects-based application server, Oracle database and streaming media server to provide a visual, interactive media package accessible over the web. This faculty-staff partnership will provide several benefits to both faculty authors and their students. Some of these include the following:

  • Accessible over the Internet
  • Platform and Browser Independence
  • Effective visual delivery method
  • Easy maintenance and updates
