Call for Papers for the Mini Track
Collaborative Technologies Support of Learning Processes
Collaborative technologies are broadly defined here as technologies that enable collaboration among individuals engaged in a common task. Examples of such technologies are Web-based chat tools, Web-based asynchronous conferencing tools, e-mail, listservs, collaborative writing tools, group decision support systems, etc.
Learning processes are defined as specific processes that support or lead to the sharing or creation of knowledge. Examples of such processes are interdepartmental meetings, instructor-student interaction, and expert-novice interaction. Other processes, such as group-based organizational development, software development and product design, may also incorporate knowledge sharing and creation components. As such, they can also be considered for this mini-track provided that the learning component of these processes is explicitly addressed in the paper.
