AIS On-line Placement Services

AMCIS conference placement activities are associated with the on-line placement services that the Association for Information Systems (AIS) office coordinates. The AIS Placement Services are now open with the first listings to be posted May 1, 2000. To facilitate matching candidates with positions, AIS placement provides listings of universities seeking applicants and applicants seeking universities. AIS placement services serves three types of users:

1. Universities seeking to post a standardized university job listing and to browse all listings.
2. Applicants seeking to post their standardized resumes and to browse all listings.
3. Individuals seeking to browse only (i.e., not wishing to post a job opening or a resume/CV).

AMCIS Conference Placement Activities

During the AMCIS conference, facilities will be provided to assist the meetings of applicants and university representatives. The Placement are will be located in the Ocean Ballroom, located on the first floor of The Westin hotel.

The Placement area will be open to the universities and applicants in the following schedule:
	Thursday, August 10th Friday, August 11th Saturday, August 12th Sunday, August 13th	1:00pm -  6:30 pm 7:45am -  6:30 pm 7:45am -  6:30pm 7:45am - 11:15am

Approximately 60 tables will be available for placement users, the majority of these being in the Ocean Ballroom in the conference hotel. These tables will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with universities being able to reserve tables for their use at the start of each day. Users of placement facilities have to be registered in the AIS placement system (see above) and be registered at the conference. Additional details regarding the on-site placement facilities will be available nearer the start of the conference.
