Accommodations for Individuals with Disabilities

Accommodations for individuals with disabilities are available upon request during Commencement ceremonies. Accommodation requests may be submitted by May 1, 2019 through the online request form.

Parking: Parking lot locations for guests with a valid handicap placard will be available in Parking Lots G5 and the 1st floor of the Pyramid Parking Structure.  Please refer to Grid D4 and Grid E3 on the campus map for parking locations. We recommend arriving early as disabled parking spaces will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Access to the graduation event site will be through the west entrances of the University track and field.

Seating: All ceremony sites are wheelchair accessible. An usher will direct you to an accessible seating area throughout the venue. The majority of seating at Commencement will be in direct sunlight and due to security reasons, umbrellas will not be permitted. Accessible seating will be limited to those with disability-related needs and one companion.

Viewing: Commencement ceremonies will be projected on large screens for visibility and will be captioned. The ceremony will also be live streamed and captioned in the Pyramid for the convenience of guests and guests who need shaded seating. Please note, individual names will not be captioned.

Service Animals:  Service animals will be permitted.  Pets and Emotional Support Animals will not be permitted within the graduation event location.

Sign language Interpreters: Sign language interpreters will be present at each ceremony.
