Directions to Commencement Parking

All Student (General) Parking lots and the Parking Structures will be available, free of charge, for guests during the ceremonies. Please refer to the Commencement parking map (PDF) for available lot locations. We recommend parking in lots G6 - G9, G11 or the Pyramid Parking Structure as they are closest to the ceremony event site. Access to the event site will be through the west entrances of the University track and field.

Getting to lots G4, G6 - G9

If you are driving south on Bellflower Blvd from the 405, make a left on Atherton St. Once on Atherton, look for Commencement parking attendants that will be waving guests to turn right onto Earl Warren Dr. When you turn onto Earl Warren Dr, the general parking lots will be on the left hand side.

Additional entrances to these lots will be the street after the Recycling Center or Merriam Way (the next two rights after Earl Warren Dr.). Merriam Way will have the easiest access to lot G11 and the Pyramid Parking Structure.

From these lots, you will walk east towards the track and field. You will be directed to walk around the Pyramid Parking Structure, so take a look at the map to see what entrance (A, B, C) is closest to your lot.

Getting to lots G12 - G14, or Palo Verde Parking Structure

If you are driving south on Palo Verde Ave from the 406 or north on Palo Verde from 605/7th St, you will be directed to park in the general lots on the east side of campus. Because these lots are further from the Commencement Venue, it is anticipated to be less crowded, but the walk to the venue is longer. There is a service road located between G12 and the George H. Allen Field that you can take west to the venue entrances, but be prepared for about a 10 -15 minute walk.

Parking for Elderly and Disabled Guests

We have designated lot G5, the first floor of the Pyramid Parking Structure and there are pre-exisiting ADA spots in G11 for elderly and disabled guests to use.

To expedite entry into these lots, we recommend you have your handicap placard out on your dash or hanging on your mirror so that parking attendants can see them.

To access these lots, you can enter through Merriam Way off of Atherton or Beach Drive.

Taking Uber, Lyft, or another ride share service

The best option for getting dropped off by a ride service is to enter on West Campus Dr and use the West turn-around near the "GO BEACH" statue. From there, take the walking path to the track and field. Your closest entrance will be Gate C.
