About the Panel of Experts:
Mr. Niggli was named COO in 2006. From 2000 to 2006, he was president of Sempra Generation where he was responsible for the operation and maintenance of merchant power plants and energy infrastructure throughout North America. He has provided expert testimony on electric and gas utility matters before numerous legislative committees, public service commissions and city councils at the federal, state and local levels. He is an alumnus of California State University, Long Beach.
Ms. McFadden is responsible for managing PG&E's federal, state and local government relations, and philanthropic and community initiatives, while guiding its efforts to be a national environmental leader. She was the senior advisor and deputy chief of staff to Governor Gray Davis. She also served in the Clinton administration as deputy chief of staff to Vice President Al Gore and general counsel for the U.S. Department of Transportation. She holds a B.A. from San Jose State University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia.
Dr. Allenby’s areas of expertise include Earth Systems Engineering and Management, Industrial Ecology, Sustainable Engineering and Science and Technology Policy. He is co-author of the newly published book, Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Engineering. He holds a B.A. from Yale University, a J. D. from the University of Virginia Law School, a Masters in Economics from the University of Virginia, a Masters in Environmental Sciences from Rutgers, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from Rutgers.
Mr. Kestian leads the Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) in Irvine California: a state-of-the-art facility with development suites, architecture design labs, an Envisioning Center, and a fully loaded data center including server, storage, and networking hardware from Microsoft’s key partners. In his role, he is committed to software and technology innovations that help people and organizations around the world improve the environment. Microsoft’s goal is to reduce the impact of their operations and products, and to be a leader in environmental responsibility.
