A diverse group of faculty work in the
area of Engery, Environment and Saftey. Some current research
includes:
- Indoor and outdoor air quality assessment, control, and
modeling
- Combustions emissions control, trajectory and concentration
of combustion gases and particulates
- Micro-environment and comfort, and urban aerodynamics
- Modeling of flow and contaminant transport in both vadose
and saturated zone
- Techniques to locate pollutant sources in groundwater
- Design and optimization of groundwater remediation systems
- Large scale vadose zone modeling to predict water flux and
moisture content at and near the soil surface for water resources
management
- Analysis of the impact of fuel additives and surfactants in
the subsurface environment
