2nd Semester Mandatory Advising (or Spring Advising)

Attention all freshmen admitted Fall 2008.

As part of the "Engineering Learning Community", you are required to go to mandatory advising during your first two semesters in attendance. This Spring 2009 semester will constitute your 2nd semester mandatory advising requirement.

2nd Semester Mandatory Advising

• For Freshman students enrolled in ENGR102, advising will occur as part of the ENGR102 course as follows:
  • Sections 1 through 7: Week #2 of instruction
  • Sections 8 through 14: Week #5 of instruction

• Freshman students unable to enroll in ENGR102 are required to make an advising appointment with the Engineering Recruitment & Retention Center. Students should send an e-mail to: coe-ftf@csulb.edu or Telephone: (562) 985-1800. The advising appointment will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Please remember to include the following information:

1. Your Full name (First name and Last Name)
2. Your CSULB ID Number
3. Your Major (or intended major; changes in major may be requested during your advising appointment)

A Center representative will respond to the e-mail or phone call within three business days.

Important Note: Once you have completed your 2nd semester mandatory advising, your advising hold will be lifted.
