JPL Invention Challenge - 2005
The Jet Propulsion
Laboratory (JPL) Annual Invention Challenge promotes the Science
and Engineering fields within the JPL community in a creative
and fun way. Artesia High School, Jordan High School, Polytechnic
High School students were able to take on this year’s challenge,
a “Strike a Match” contest in which the objective was to create
a device that lit an officially supplied wooden stick match exactly
twenty (20) seconds after starting the device.
