Organizations: Join, Have Fun and Learn New Skills
American Society
of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
The purpose of our
chapter is to help engineering students gain further insight
into real world applications of mechanical engineering beyond
what can be taught in the classroom. We offer students the opportunity
to attend and participate in various events: tours of industrial
plants; lectures given by speakers involved in industry and
research; student conferences and seminars; intercollegiate
design competitions; and social activities to network with peers,
professors, and engineers in industry. ASME is one of the largest
engineering organizations worldwide with 125,000 regular members
and 250 student sections. Membership in ASME offers numerous
benefits and is a fun and exciting way to become an engineering
student leader. Learn more about

American
Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)
AIAA and its founding
societies have been on the forefront of the aerospace profession
since its beginnings. The Institute has sought to foster a sense
of pride and professionalism among those who have effected profound
and long-range changes in aerospace technology throughout the
world. This is why we take great pride in the fact that every
major achievement in flight since 1963 was made by at least
one of AIAA’s individual or corporate members. Learn

American Society
of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air- Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)
ASHRAE is unique because
its membership is drawn from a wide range of disciplines relating
to the HVAC&R field. Approximately 50,000 individuals from
more than 100 nations belong to the Society. Among them are
students, consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, building
owners, and employees of manufacturing companies, educational
institutions, research organizations, government or any organization
concerned with environmental control. Members range from students
to longtime engineers and professionals in other related disciplines
such as architecture and medical research. Learn

Society of
Automotive Engineers (SAE)
Did you know. . .
? There are over 17,000 SAE student members at 400+ collegiate
chapters throughout the world. SAE student members are the future
of the mobility industry and the future of SAE. Many former
student members have gone on to successful careers as design
engineers and managers with OEMs, suppliers, racing teams, government
agencies and universities.
SAE Student membership
is an exciting opportunity to get involved in the world of engineering
while gaining hands-on experience, making new friends, and networking
with professionals in your field. Learn

Pi Tau Sigma - International
Mechanical Engineering Honor Society
Pi Tau Sigma is a
Mechanical Engineering Honor Society, instituted in order to
establish a closer bond of fellowship among its members which
will result in mutual benefit to those men and women in the
study and in the profession of mechanical engineering.
Pi Tau Sigma's core values are: Integrity (soundness of character
and moral conduct), Service (serving the mechanical engineering
profession and the community), and Leadership (being foremost
and fostering initiative through example in a professional manner).

Society
of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
The Society of Manufacturing
Engineers (SME) is the world's leading resource Where Manufacturing
Comes Together - both people and information - to advance
manufacturing knowledge. Manufacturing creates wealth. By providing
resources and opportunities for manufacturing professionals
to develop and utilize new knowledge, improved skills, and manufacturing
solutions, SME helps you grow personally and professionally
and, in turn, contributes to the economic health of companies,
the industries, and the nations we serve. Since it was formed
in 1932, SME has worked to make engineers, companies, educators
and others successful in their quest to advance the manufacturing
industries.
The quest continues.
We hope you will join us.
American Society
of Quality (ASQ)
The American Society
for Quality (ASQ) is the world's leading authority on quality.
With more than 100,000 individual and organizational members,
this professional association advances learning, quality improvement,
and knowledge exchange to improve business results, and to create
better workplaces and communities worldwide. As champion of
the quality movement, ASQ offers technologies, concepts, tools,
and training to quality professionals, quality practitioners,
and everyday consumers, encouraging all to Make Good Great™.
Institute
of Industrial Engineers (IIE)
Industrial engineering (IE) is about
choices. Other engineering disciplines apply skills to very
specific areas. IE gives you the opportunity to work
in a variety of businesses. The most distinctive aspect of industrial
engineering is the flexibility that it offers. Whether it's
shortening a rollercoaster line, streamlining an operating room,
distributing products worldwide, or manufacturing superior automobiles,
all share the common goal of saving companies money and increasing
efficiencies.
IIE is the world’s largest professional society dedicated
solely to the support of the industrial engineering profession
and individuals involved with improving quality and productivity.
Founded in 1948, IIE is an international, non-profit association
that provides leadership for the application, education, training,
research, and development of industrial engineering. With more
than 15,000 members and 280 chapters worldwide, IIE’s
primary mission is to meet the ever-changing needs of its membership,
which includes undergraduate and graduate students, engineering
practitioners and consultants in all industries, engineering
managers, and engineers in education, research, and government.
Tau Beta Pi is the only
international engineering honor society to recognize engineers
of all disciplines. It is the original national engineering
honor society, and the nation's second oldest honor society.
Founded in 1885 at Leheigh University, Tau Beta Pi has expanded
to include over 220 chapters and over 429,000 members. Its purpose
is to recognize exemplary students and alumni in engineering.
