$2,500 scholarship for second half of Summer 2008 (July 14 - Aug. 29)
Funds provided by the NASA California Space Grant Consortium
Qualifications
Knowledge of or interest in learning, demonstrating, and/or developing new avionics systems for launch vehicle : from software to hardware for data acquisition, telemetry, control and related applications
Enrolled CSULB undergraduate or graduate student - Min. 3.0 GPA
Major in Engineering (CECS, Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, etc.), Math or Sciences
Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Resident (federal funds)
Terms
Acceptance of the scholarship supposes taking a leading role in a project in avionics for a period equivalent to approx. 6 weeks at minimum half-time - Schedule to be arranged and technical details to be discussed - Contact Prof. Besnard for examples of projects
Previous CALVEIN scholarship recipients may apply for the scholarship but may receive only one scholarship per period (Fall/Spring/Summer)
