Electroplating and electroless plating solutions, processes and equipment. Anodizing. Carburizing, nitriding atmospheres and equipment. Diffusion in solids, effect of surface treatments on mechanical properties. Same course as CHE 435. (Lecture-problems 3 hours) Letter grade only (A-F).
