Students will assist Engineers/Architects in the preparation of plans and specifications for projects involving the design of electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, communication and other high and low voltage electrical systems. Other duties would include making copies, scanning documents, processing shop drawings and record drawings, preparing plans for permits, and coordinating with other agencies.
Candidates must be of at least sophomore standing and maintain a minimum of 9 semester units or 12 quarter units at a recognized college or university. Candidates must also have a minimum 2.5 GPA. It is preferred that the candidates have at least one year remaining before graduation.
This is a year-round position. During the semester/quarter, students must work between 16 to 20 hours per standard work week. During the school breaks, students are expected to work 40 hours per week.
Salary is based on the number of engineering units completed.
Range: $13.97 - $19.39 per hour
