*450. Electronic Control of Motors (3)
- Prerequisites: EE 350, 370.
- Characteristics of semiconductor power switches. Modeling and application of control
theory to various types of motors. Bidirectional and four-quadrant converter
topologies for motion control. Selection of drives to control AC and DC motors. Uninterruptible
power supplies and adjustable speed drives.
- (Lecture-problems 3 hours) Letter grade only (A-F).
