527./427. Digital Filter Design and Audio Processing (3)

  • Prerequisite: EE 486 or consent of instructor.
  • Frequency and time domain analysis using FFT, FIR, and IIR filter design and implementation techniques. Principles of digital audio processing, compression/decompression. Applications of audio coding standards, such as MPEG audio and G.729.
  • Not open for credit to students with credit in EE 513.
  • Additional projects required for EE 527. (Lecture-problems 3 hours) Letter grade only (A-F).
