Engineering Technology, Environmental Technology Option Minors Environmental Engineering Related Programs Minor in Chemistry offered by the Chemistry & Biochemistry Department Our chemical engineering students have numerous opportunities to use "real" processes to aid their studies. As a result of student interactions with the various processes, they develop a greater appreciation and understanding of the fundamental principles behind each of the processes. Students get hands-on experience in using equipment such as computer aided process controls, a double effect evaporator and a variety of separations equipment.	ABET Accredited Degree Program The Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering is accredited by the EAC (Engineering Accreditation Commission) of ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology). Students working for an ABET accredited degree will meet with an academic advisor in their department as early as possible to make themselves fully aware of the ABET requirements, not only in General Education, but also in other areas, such as math/science requirements.
