*435. Chemical and Electrochemical Manufacturing Processes (3)
- Prerequisites: MAE 322, 330; or CHEM 371A or consent of instructor.
- Theory of electrochemical processing. Electroplating and electroless plating. Anodizing and other surface treatments. Carburizing, nitriding atmospheres and equipment. Diffusion in solids. Effect of surface treatments on mechanical properties.
- Same course as MAE 425. (Lecture-problems 3 hours) Letter grade only (A-F).
