Get a Masters Degree
The CECS department offers a Master of Science in Computer Science.
There are two options to chose from,
Option in Computer Engineering offers advanced study in the
theory, analysis, design and applications of both computer hardware and
software.
Option in Computer Science offers advanced study in software development and engineering, networking, operating systems, distributed computing, artificial intelligence, and analysis of algorithms.
Admission Procedures
To be considered for admission the graduate applicant must have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, have been in good standing at the last institution attended, and have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.7 for the last 60 semester units (90 quarter units) attempted. The general Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required. There is no separate department application, but applicants should submit a second set of transcripts to the department.

Doctoral Program

This program is offered jointly by the College of Engineering at California State University,
Long Beach and The Claremont Graduate University, allows students to pursue
doctoral programs in most areas of engineering and applied mathematics.
