Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission the
graduate applicant must
- have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited
institution,
- have been in good standing at the last institution attended,
- possess a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.7 for
the last 60 semester units (90 quarter units) attempted,
and
- optionally, submit score of the general Graduate Record Examination (GRE). It is highly recommended that International Students and also those students with a GPA below 3.0 submit these general GRE scores.
Students may be
admitted on a conditional basis, subject to the requirement
that they remedy any deficiencies subsequent to admission.

Applicants who
hold a bachelor's degree from an institution where English
is not the principle language of instruction must review
the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) requirements.

Resident applicants
should submit a second set of transcripts to the department;international applicants need to send only one set of transcripts.
Letters of recommendation are not required.
