Job Summary

The Information Strategy Intern position will serve to provide assistance to the Service Desk Manager in support of the overall function of the Information Systems with specific regard to break-fix tickets and to assist in developing solutions to increase business continuity and overall technical support satisfaction of the organization. The Intern will be expected to work no less than 18 hours per week and no more than 25 hours per week and will report to the Service Desk Manager. This is a paid internship, with the overarching goals to be to better prepare the candidate for a successful career in the Information Systems Industry and to better fulfill the technical needs of the organization.

  • Observe and report the context of technical support situations and report back to the Service Desk Manager as required
  • Document written procedures as developed clearly and concisely
  • Follow verbal and written instructions

Required Experience

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and software failures
  • MS Office 2003
  • MS Windows XP Professional
  • MS Windows Server 2003
  • Active Directory

  • Symantec Ghost
  • Help Desk Ticketing System

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or it’s equivalent)
  • 2+ years at an accredited University with a major in Information Systems or a related field.
