Profile:

Dr. Nguyen joined the California State University at Long Beach (CSULB) in Fall 2006 as a faculty of the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering Management.

Dr. Nguyen has earned a doctorate degree in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He used to teach at the Pennsylvania State University at Altoona and North Dakota State University prior to his arrival at CSULB. Dr. Nguyen has been licensed as a Professional Engineer and also worked for years in the areas of Architecture, Engineering, and Construction, in which his responsibility was to develop construction documents.

Dr. Nguyen's research interest emphases on the use of emerging information technologies to improve project design and construction. One of his typical research projects is using 3D visualization technology to enhance building design and project management. In addition to construction visualization research, Dr. Nguyen is also continuing to expand research efforts in the areas of information technology for learning and teaching enhancement.
