The future of the aerospace industry is bright:

• The Aerospace Industry is a $150 billion/year industry, which is divided into 3 divisions:
  
  

  Space		Defense
  Commercial Airplanes

• The Aerospace Industry is young! 
• It offers exciting careers!! 
• "Commercial airplane deliveries should double over the next two decades" (Aerospace America, Aug.1997).
• New generation airplanes such as the High Speed Civil Transport (HSCT) and the Blended Wing Body   (BWB) are being designed and developed. 
• Military products such as the C-17 Globemaster III, the F22, and the Joint Strike Fighter are among many long term projects. 
• The International Space Station and a replacement for the Space Shuttle are being developed. 
• The demand on telecommunication satellites is creating a great need for launching capabilities (e.g. Sea launch based in Long Beach.)
