Getting Involved with the College of Liberal Arts Student Council (CLASC)

The College of Liberal Arts Student Council (CLASC) serves as the major resource and support group for CLA students. The CLASC champions student needs, represents the CLA throughout the University, and ensures that present and future students learn the importance of leadership. There are many opportunities to get involved with the CLASC. Visit the CLASC’s “Recruitment and Involvement” page for involvement opportunities and open positions.

For general inforamtion about the CLASC, send an email to information@csulbclasc.org. However, to contact a specific CLASC representative, visit the “Contacting CLASC” page to access individual-specific contact information. You may also call and leave a message at 562.334.2521., and a CLASC representative will return your call as soon as possible.

The CLASC also houses the Upcoming Leaders in Liberal Arts Program (ULLA) and Project GLOBAL. The ULLA program helps Liberal Arts students become better acquainted with the CLA, CLASC, and CSULB campus community. Students interested in joining the ULLA should be declared Liberal Arts freshmen or sophomores who are open to new experiences, willing to make friends, and eager to become leaders. All CLA majors and pre-majors are encouraged to apply. To learn more, download the official ULLA brochure. If you have further questions or are not sure if you are eligible, please email the ULLA coordinators at ulla@csulbclasc.org.

Project GLOBAL is a student-centered initiative that facilitates collaboration between students, faculty, and the larger CLA community. Visit Project GLOBAL’s webpage to learn more.
