African Cultural Extravaganza 2014

The Department of Africana Studies, the African Studies Student Association, and the College of Continuing and Professional Education would like to present an exciting celebration of African writing, film, and dance.

Her Excellency Consul Sibongile Mdena of the South African Consulate in Los Angeles will discuss “The Post-Apartheid South Africa: Challenges, Victories” with opening remarks by President Conoley.  The Ballet Kouman Kele will perform thrilling acrobatic tricks. Dr. Roberts and her students will share study abroad experiences and showcase African clothing in a fashion show.
