Special Seminar in Economics with Dr. Matthew Khan from UCLA

Dr. Matthew Kahn, UCLA, along with the Department of Geography and the Environmental Science and Policy Program, will present a special seminar on urban economic sustainability titled “How Will Los Angeles Adapt to Climate Change? An Economist’s Perspective”. Dr. Kahn has also taught at Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, Tufts University, and the National University in Singapore. He wrote several books including Green Cities: Urban Growth and the Environment (Brookings Institution Press 2006), Climatopolis: How Our Cities Will Thrive in the Hotter World (Basic Books 2010), and Fundamentals of Environmental Economics: Solving Urban Pollution Problems (Amazon Books); as well as the co-author of Heroes and Cowards: The Social Face of War (Princeton University Press 2008).
