The Answer is Cooperatives Workshop

Screen Shot 2014-03-27 at 2.49.09 PMOn April 9 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in LA1-214, Foodscape, Metropolitan and Policy Studies (MAPS), and Building Healthy Communities will co-sponsor The Answer is Cooperatives workshop. This workshop is an interactive and informative event for business owners, workers, teachers, students, consumers, and producers to learn about cooperative development. Principles, ethics, and economics of worker-cooperatives will be discussed to demonstrate how they are both socially and financially secure. The CSULB workshop will focus on concepts of student and faculty ownership, and it will feature a guest speaker from the Sustainable Economies Law Center (SELC). The guest speaker will discuss SELC’s projects and the emerging policies and reforms they are supporting related to cooperative development.
