Building a Learning Community Focused on Sustainability

March 20, 2014

On April 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., students are invited to participate in CSULB’s Living Lab Sustainability Workshop, an event sponsored by a grant from the Office of the Chancellor.

This event will discuss options to develop linkages necessary to build a dynamic learning community by connecting sustainable efforts on the CSULB campus with similar efforts in the business sector and the greater Long Beach community. Experts from other campuses will share their experiences in developing sustainability-related learning communities, and workshop participants will be asked to evaluate draft models for CSULB.  Opening remarks will be made by CSU Assistant Vice Chancellor Elvyra (Vi) San Juan and CSULB Vice President for Administration and Finance Mary Stephens.

Continental breakfast (8 a.m.) and lunch will be provided at this event.

To RSVP, please email Dr. Wade Martin at Wade.Martin@csulb.edu by April 11.
