(background audience applause) Good afternoon.(background audience) I’m Gerry Riposa, I am the Dean of The College of Liberal Arts.(audience whistles and cheers). Today the College of Liberal Arts and joined by the University will dedicate this commencement to all of our men and women in military service.(background audience applause) . As part of that dedication we salute all of our women and men who are joining the Arm Forces following this commencement. We salute all of the men and women currently servicing in the Armed Forces, putting themselves in harm’s way for us. (background audience applause) we salute, we salute all of our veterans for their valiant service. (background audience applause) And we salute all of the fallen and their families for their ultimate sacrifice for us. (background audience applause). California State University, Long Beach and The College of Liberal Arts salute you all for your bravery, courage, commitment and yes, sacrifice in defending this nation and its best ideals. We honor you, we thank you. (background audience applause).
