Irving Saratoff Becomes CLA’s Most Recent Legacy Society Member
Recently, a friend of the University, Irving Saratoff, generously created an estate plan entitled the Irving Saratoff Endowment at California State University, Long Beach. The endowed fund will provide financial support to students in the Department of History as well as the Jewish Studies program. The Fund will support scholarships for history students and the Jewish Studies program equally.
Irving recently celebrated his 80th birthday with an on campus luncheon attended by Dean Riposa which celebrated both Irv’s milestone birthday and his recent gift to the College. Irving’s dedication to the education system stems from his years as an educator both in New York state and California.
The CSULB Legacy Society was established to recognize and honor the generosity of donors who support CSULB through estate planning. By an individual leaving a gift through an estate plan or life income plan, he or she is helping CSULB continue to provide the excellence in education it prides itself on giving to its students as well as establishing a lasting legacy of the donor’s personal values and vision for the future. The Legacy Society provides an opportunity for CSULB to personally and publicly acknowledge these individuals and celebrate their lives and philanthropic ideals. For further information about the Legacy Society, please contact Kevin Crowe at 562/985-1619 or kcrowe2@csulb.edu.
