Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies Students
We offer several ways to explore the newest topics in the field. More and more students are choosing to major in the discipline, believing that it provides one of the finest liberal arts degrees available and provides an exemplary training in critical analysis and communication skills. Others decide they want to major in a discipline like History or Film and minor in WGSS, in order to give greater depth to a particular area within their major.
Still others believe that both WGSS and a course of study like Sociology or Religious Studies will best meet their career plans. They may choose a double or an interdisciplinary major.
Although the Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies Department does not as yet offer a Masters Degree, graduate students may choose to work on a special Masters, combining WGSS with a department that offers that option.
