Club Italia’s purpose is:
Study Abroad at the CSU Study Center in Florence, Italy:
Florence, long a center of intellectual and artistic activity, retains much of its Renaissance character. The works of artists and writers such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Dante, represent the city's rich cultural history. Florence is also the location of an important university, a magnificent collection of art objects and numerous architectural treasures. Located in Tuscany on the Arno River, Florence has a population of about 500,000.
The CSU Study Center in Florence is administered by a resident director and full-time local staff. Each year about 100 CSU students attend courses at the Center. Students apply to and are placed within a specific concentration. The fields offered are: architecture, art history, history and classics, language and literature, social sciences, and studio art. Depending on their area of concentration and their language competency, CSU students take courses organized by International Programs, pursue studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze and the Scuola del Nudo, or enroll directly in the Universitá degli Studi di Firenze.
