Jean-Jacques Jura’s research, presentations, and most recent publications involve these areas of study: medieval French literature; theatricality in Julien Green’s novels; the silent movie history of Long Beach; foreign language credentialing.

2005-2006 Enhancing Educational Effectiveness Award: proposed by Steve Turley, University Coordinator and five single subject credential coordinators—1) Angelo Segalla; 2) Jean-Jacques Jura; 3) Marge Lichty, 4) Elisabeth Hartung; 5) Karen Hakim-Butt received a grant of $7,500 to implement a “Clinical Supervision Workshop for Master Teachers and University Supervisors” for high school master teachers and university supervisors, with the goal of aligning supervision of student teachers

2005 Lithuanian Fair in Los Angeles, October 1, 2005: As President of the Lithuanian Club of Long Beach, I was awardedthe Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Los Angeles for “exceptional community involvement and continuing efforts to preserve the rich cultural heritage of Lithuanian-Americans” presented at the same time with another Award signed by all supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, for my work with the Lithuanian-American Community during the last decade
