Russian Club

The Russian club is active with movies, restaurant trips, speakers etc. Successful students are often inducted into the Slavic National Honor Society (Dobro Slovo)

President for 2007/2008 is Narina Grove (dsidorov@csulb.edu).  Prof. Schefski (schefski@csulb.edu) is the advisor.

This year the Russian Club helped sponsor the visit of Russian celebrity Artyom Troitsky (Feb. 20th) at the Karl Anatol Center. Mr. Troitsky also visited Dr. Jenks Modern Russian History Class.

This year there is a three week class and field trip to Moscow, Russia (July 29-Aug. 19th). Two courses will be taught during the trip (Russ 410I and Geog. 301I). The Instructors are Dr. Schefski and Dr. Sidorov (dsidorov@csulb.edu) of the Geography Dept. Contact Prof. Schefski for information.

The Russian program offers a Minor in Russian and a Certificate in Russian and East European Studies (see Current Catalog for information).
