MA PROGRAM IN SPANISH
Overview:
The Spanish MA Program at CSULB invites you to pursue the in-depth study of literatures, linguistics and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. The M.A. Program in Spanish affords students the opportunity to participate in the intellectual and social activities of a vigorous and vibrant department while obtaining an advanced degree. As a student in the M.A. program you can work with many scholars to experience first-hand, both in and outside of the classroom, how new ideas are created through the research process. Best of all, you will become part of an academic and social community consisting of both faculty and peers pursuing common intellectual endeavors.
With increasing numbers of people receiving B.A. degrees, the M.A. degree has added value for many careers. Once you have earned your M.A., you will have the analytical, interpretive, oral presentation, and writing skills that guarantee success in whatever career you choose. Our M.A. program seeks to properly train first-time job seekers, enhance those with careers already in progress, and prepare highly-motivated students to continue at the Ph.D. level.
