Fieldwork in Psychology is a 400-level class that counts toward the Psychology major requirement.  Students enrolled in the class may find their own internship (which may include paid internships) or may request assistance in locating an internship.
Internships provide direct experience working with clients at local schools, community organizations, hospitals and industry.  Students gain invaluable experience conducting workshops, case management, home visits, mentoring, and other hands-on skills with a population of their choice.

In addition to completing 117 hours at their internship site, students enrolled in Psy 405 will also be required to attend class regularly, keep weekly logs of their internship activities, turn in performance evaluations from their site supervisor, make an online presentation about their internship, and write a final report about their internship experiences.  The course is graded as Credit/No Credit.

Detailed information about the course, requirements, and application procedures can be obtained by contacting Dr. Patricia Rozee at patricia.rozee@csulb.edu
