Political Science Student Association (PSSA)
The PSSA is a student-led organization which meets periodically throughout each semester, offering students a more casual setting to discuss political topics related to coursework, to continue discussions of current affairs, and to exchange ideas with faculty members who occasionally participate with special presentations and roundtables. The themes and types of activities vary. In the recent past, this has included more formal colloquium presentations, screenings of documentary films, and general discussions of issues related to politics, from feminism to globalization to electoral analysis. While students are, at times, reluctant to interrupt the flow of thought in the classroom, it is hoped that the PSSA can offer a more relaxed venue to talk about what is going on in the world and what they think about the current state of affairs.
There is no membership required; there are no fees for participation. All majors and even non-majors are invited to attend. Suggestions for themes of future meetings are welcomed. We are always looking for new and fresh ideas. For more information on PSSA please contact the President Matt Segre’ firstname.lastname@example.org
