A native of Riverside, CA, Amy Fernandez graduated from CSULB in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Presently, Ms. Fernandez is pursuing a master’s degree in political science at CSULB. 2009-10 will mark Ms. Fernandez’s second year as a moot court assistant coach. Ms. Fernandez competed for CSULB at the Western Regional in 2007. In the spring of 2008, she helped her classmates to prepare for two tournaments and helped run CSULB’s spring tournament. In the Fall of 2009 she was an assistant when CSULB earned its first automatic bids to the national tournament. In addition to these experiences, Ms. Fernandez externed in the Superior Courthouse located in Long Beach. Ms. Fernandez is excited to have the opportunity to work with CSULB mooters and even more excited that the 2009-2010 case will not involve the 2nd Amendment or interstate commerce.
