Welcome to Latin American Studies at California State University, Long Beach.
Latin American Studies is an interdisciplinary program. Our 23 faculty across 18 disciplines offer a wide range of courses every semester. CSULB students can earn a minor or a certificate in Latin American Studies. LAS also hosts a number of exciting events each semester, including invited speakers and our Fall film festival. The Latin American Studies Film Series, with the theme “Ties that Bind,” begins on Thursday, October 4 at the University Theatre and continues on three consecutive Thursdays (October 11, 18 and 25) at 7 p.m.
All films are subtitled in English, and parking is available in Lot 7. This free event is open to the public. Classes and groups are welcome.
