Michael Park
Michael Park teaches Jour 430 Law of Mass Communications and is beginning his first year with the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication. Michael is a California-licensed attorney and is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in San Francisco. He is currently an Annenberg Fellow at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California.
During law school, Michael was a member of the Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal, one of the nation’s preeminent law journals covering communications, entertainment, and intellectual property law. Michael also served as an extern for a judge at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. After law school, Michael spent a few years in the Motion Picture Department at the William Morris Agency, the oldest and largest talent agency in the world.
Most recently, Michael served as a law clerk to F.C.C. Commissioner Michael Copps, in Washington, D.C. Michael’s research interests include media law, First Amendment jurisprudence, and government regulation of media industries. He enjoys following politics, and is a former White House intern.
