Thomas Frazier earned his master’s degree in geography at CSULB before heading to the Geographic Institute of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany for his doctoral studies with the dissertation title, "Security Habitation in Berlin and Southern California." He has been teaching in Geography at CSULB since 2005 and in I/ST (I/ST 319 and I/ST 200) since 2007. See his recent interview in Inside CSULB.
