Wednesdays: 1:30-3:45, walk in appointments, 15 minute increments, sign up in HDEV office starting at 1:00pm.
NOTE: on WEDNESDAYS: February 8th; March 14th; April 11th and May 9th the walk in appt hours will be 2:00-3:00pm (due to Dept. Mtg.).
Thursdays: 3:30, New MAJOR Session, first come first serve basis- maximum 6 students, sign up in HDEV office starting at 3:00pm.

As of Spring 2009, the Peace & Social Justice Studies Certificate Program is now housed in the Department of Human Development. The program’s director, Dr. Judith Stevenson, is currently in the process of creating a new identity for the program and updating it into a Minor Degree. The name of the program has been changed to reflect its new mission to study peacemaking through the lens of social and environmental justice. The program will span multiple disciplines and colleges, including liberal arts, natural sciences, health and human services, the arts, and education. To read more, click here.
Girls on the Run of Los Angeles County (GOTR) is a positive youth development program that promotes physical activity and holistic well-being through an interactive curriculum and running program. As Vice-Chair of of the Board of GOTR LA, Dr. Lauren Rauscher facilitates the collaboration between CSULB students and this organization. To read more, click here.
Over the academic year 2008-2009, the Department, along with colleagues across the College of Liberal Arts, debated and critiqued the controversial work of Kevin MacDonald. The culmination of these discussions resulted in the Department issuing a public statement about his work to clarify our position--for students, other faculty on campus and the public.
