Fall Semester 2009 Advisory

As many are now aware, the CSU faces an unprecedented budget deficit in the fiscal year 2009-2010, the consequences of which are likely to impact the availability of classes across campus. We in Human Development are working hard to ensure that the classes that our students need to graduate remain as readily available as possible. However, students are advised that enrollment in courses is being more strictly regulated than in previous years, such that we will be unable to easily add students from the waiting list in many of our courses. Students are also urged to carefully plan out their course of study with our undergraduate advisor, and to pay close attention to departmental and university deadlines. Because our departmental offices will be routinely closed due to system-wide furloughs, we will be less able to accommodate last-minute requests for assistance with graduation, departmental or advising matters. IN SHORT, PLAN AHEAD!
