Day 25: Finally!

July 7, 2012

I finally got the supervised classification done and I feel so much better that I actually have something to produce. I spent most of the day working on them but I did it.

I originally was only going to do the supervised classification with the ALI imagery, but the pixels were too coarse to be able to classify the rocks correctly to the field ground truth data that I tried to classify them as. Basalt was turning up around the sinkhole and there was barely any iron oxide showing up in the image. So, I decided to also do a supervised classification with the Worldview-2 imagery as well. This one turned out to classify more accurately than the ALI due to the spatial resolution.

As of right now, I’m just glad that I actually have something to put on my poster!
